International Online Seminar and Tree Planting Organized

On the occasion of World Environment Day, Act Now India and Environment Online have organized an international environmental seminar and tree planting in association with Brookfield International School and Glamanand. Leading environmental experts, activists and beauty pageants from different corners of the world share their views and opinions.

By profession Karen is physicist She studied at Hope Christian High School in Manila and she speaks Chinese fluently. She obtained her bachelor's degree in applied physics major in instrumentation and a master's degree in applied physics major in medical physics at the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines, where she graduated cum laude on both degrees. She was also a former college instructor at the College of Science of the University of Santo Tomas and worked as a medical physicist at St. Luke's Medical Center, Global City.
In her words: I believe that the real problem in this world is not climate change. The real problem is us because of our ignorance and apathy. What we have to do is to start changing our ways, to start recalibrating our minds and redirecting our steps because together, as a global community, our micro-efforts will have a macro-effect to help save our home, our planet.

From early childhood, she has been fascinated by her mysterious natural surroundings, and has actively taken part in environmental actions that aim to tackle the onslaught of human excesses on Mother Nature. As young as at 6, she joined Environment Online 100 Million Trees by 2017 Campaign as a volunteer. She also represented India in Act Now, Environment Online Conference in Joensuu, Finland in 2017. She also launched Envirate (a ground breaking mobile app to rate our environment) in India with its Founder, Pekka Harju-Autti, as Dehradun became the first Indian city to be rated for its environment.
Paavani has also been helping in conduct of environmental workshops and raising of awareness of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals amidst Beauty Pageant Contestants of Miss Multinational, Miss Teen International, Miss International India and Miss Earth India.
Paavani became the first student ambassador appointed for Word Summit of Students for Climate (WSSC) when it was launched at the Embassy of Finland in New Delhi on 18th Jan 2019 by Finnish Ambassador to India, Nina Vaskunlahti, ENO CEO, Mika Vanhanen & ENO India Coordinator, Rajiv K Shrivastava.
Paavani was invited as a youth speaker to World Circular Economy Forum held in Finland in 2019. The WCEF brings together the key stakeholders, the most powerful circular economy thinkers, and doers from around the world.

Aayushi Dholakia- Miss Teen International 2019 is the first Asian and Indian to have won this title since 27 years. This year she also won the title of Miss Teen India 2019 and clinched the opportunity to represent our nation at the international platform.
She is a student at Anand Vidyavihar School, Vadodara. She is in 12th grade and masters various dance forms. She is also a sportsperson and has taken part in several zonal and state-level sports competitions. At the age of 14, she established a Happy Go Happy Club to organize various activities at old age homes. She is the Interact District Representative for Rotary District 3060 and also the current president of the Interact Club of Baroda Cosmopolitan.
